A Toast to Prohibition

Commemorate the history of Prohibition with a spirited talk on rum runners, bootleggers & the 100th anniversary of one of the Cape Fear’s most infamous crimes.

This event is a collaboration between Burgwin-Wright House and the City Club of Wilmington. Hunter Ingram, assistant director of the Burgwin-Wright House, will explore the lawless age of Prohibition leading up to the tragic events of July 29th, 1924. Then, we will toast to the sacrifices of those who upheld the law, and those who were made legends by it.

$20 Admission per person includes appetizers, trivia & giveaways, and a lively recounting of the history of prohibition. Dressy casual attire recommended, 1920s costumes welcome!
